Get the most comfortable and safe hang with your hammock! The Hammock Hang Calculator lets you calculate how high to set your anchors based on the size of your hammock and distance between points. Figure out how long your suspension lines need to be, even if you have a built-in ridgeline!
This calculator is useful on the trail, in the backyard, or if you plan on hanging a hammock indoors.
In addition to calculating hanging information, this tool lets you know the physics of a hang: how much tension and force are being applied to the anchor points, suspension lines, and hammock. Experiment with values to "dial in" your perfect hang.

Does the job is you are trying to figure your anchor point, but as another reviewer noted, it CANT calculate your suspension needed if you have a known fixed anchor height. Also, it lets you swap between metric or Imperial ("English") measurement styles, but bizarrely forces you to use decimal style feet instead of using feet and inches (14.6 is not 146" which is 14.5). Since all this app really does is a single math formula for you, forcing you to do some of the math before input is unfriendly. Simple to add that, but this app has not been updated in a long time. Its pretty, though, and if you avoid its limitations, does its job, albeit in a rather overpriced way.
First it was the Ultimate Hang book and now a great visual tool for the Hammock Hanger Community.

As a newbie this truly helped me set up my hammock. A must have. I would give it 5 stars if the app could save my hammock length instead of defaulting back to 136" JB
